The Chicago City Council has approved the residential conversion of the industrial building at 1600 S Laflin Street in Pilsen. Located on the southwest corner with W 16th Street next to rail lines famous for the street art along their base, the project will revitalize the vacant foundry structure that stretches almost the full length of the block. Chicago-based developer RP Fox and Associates is leading the proposal along with Mayer Jeffers Gillespie Architects working on its design.

The Chicago City Council has approved the rezoning of the Otis Foundry facility at 1600 S. Laflin. Located at the southwest corner of W. 16th St and S. Laflin St, the historic 1902 former facility for the Otis Elevator Company stretches along W.16th St almost all the way to S. Ashland Ave. RP Fox & Associates is the developer of the project.

Final touches for both interior and exterior work can be seen at the 2740 North Spaulding Avenue (filed under 2755 N Milwaukee Avenue) in Logan Square. R.P. Fox & Associates is the developer behind the six-story mixed-use building, whose interior programming involves ground-level retail split into five segments, along with 60 apartments on the upper floors. Prior to demolition and subsequent construction, the roughly half-acre property was occupied by a single-story bakery and a parking lot.

I’m really excited to share some information about my new projects in Evanston. I am working with BKM Development Company- we are teaming up again after working together on the Farragut Houses. The architect is Mayer Jeffers Gillespie and I am the lead project designer. The project consists of 3 new construction single family homes- each 4500 sqft with 5 bedrooms and 4 baths.
